Welcome to VA4MDS 2026
Goals:
The First International Workshop on Visual Analytics for Multimodal Data Streams (VA4MDS 2026) aims to bring together researchers, academicians, and industry experts to explore innovative methods, tools, and theories that advance the integration of intelligent visual analytics with multimodal and streaming data. With the rapid growth of heterogeneous data sources such as text, audio, video, sensor networks, healthcare monitors, and social media, there is an urgent need for scalable, interactive, and explainable analytics techniques that can process and visualize these data streams in real time.
The workshop will provide a unique platform for discussing challenges and opportunities in multimodal data fusion, real-time visualization, interactive exploration, human-in-the-loop analysis, and intelligent and generative approaches to visual analytics. It will foster interdisciplinary dialogue across fields including data visualization, human-computer interaction, machine learning, artificial intelligence, healthcare analytics, and multimedia systems.
Submission Guidelines
VA4MDS 2026 will serve in conjunction with IEEE PacificVis 2026, aims to share cutting-edge research, present innovative applications, and build collaborations among academia and industry. The workshop invites submissions of original research papers, review papers, short papers, and demo papers that push the boundaries of visual analytics for multimodal streaming data. So, when preparing your submission, please make sure that you carefully read and adhere to the paper submission guidelines.
All submissions must follow the official IEEE conference paper format and be written in English. Manuscripts should be prepared using the IEEE two-column template (available in both LaTeX and Word) and must not exceed 8 pages, including figures, tables, and references. Each submission will undergo a rigorous peer-review process by the program committee to ensure high-quality contributions. Accepted papers will be published as part of the IEEE PacificVis 2026 Conference Proceedings and will be indexed in IEEE Xplore. At least one author of each accepted paper must register for the conference and present their work during the workshop. Detailed instructions for formatting and submission will be provided on the workshop website.
